The given chart illustrates the amount of export earnings in four different categories, namely petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery, agricultural products and textiles throughout 2015 and 2016. Also the table gives the percentage change in values in afore-mentioned categories in 2016 compared to 2015. Overall, petroleum products and textiles were responsible for the highest and lowest earnings, respectively. All categories, excluding gems and jewellery, saw an increase in their values.
According to the census, in 2015, income from exporting petroleum products was around 60 billion dollars, which increased 3% until 2016. The value of exports in engineered goods was 57 billion dollars, and during a-year period saw a significant rise by 8.5%, reaching 61 billion dollars in 2016.
Gems and jewellery was in the third place of export earnings, with 43 billion dollars income, but this amount decreased by 5.18% in 2016. In terms of agricultural products, the amount of earnings in this period rose minimally from 31 billion dollars by 0.81%. Textiles, with the lowest export value in 2015, which was near 26 billion dollars, experienced a dramatic increase in value by 15.24% in 2016 and reached 31 billion dollars.
