Overall, it can be seen that the most popular activities for both groups were e-mail and goods and services. On the other hand, research and education were the least popular activity for both genders.
According to the chart, the percentage of men and women using e-mail was identical at 70%. Similarly, goods and services also reached the same high level of 70% for men, whilst for women it was slightly lower at 60%. In terms of entertainment, around 65% of men played online games, which was higher than about 60% of women.
When it comes to the chat rooms category, the figure for men was precisely 50%, which was slightly higher than 45% for women. Regarding other activities, online shopping was the only activity where women accounted for a higher proportion, about 35%, than men around 25%. Finally, the lowest usage was for research and education, with men at approximately 15% and women at a mere 10%.
