The chart displays the student expenditure over a three-year period, and it is between the years 1996-1999.

In the year 1996, the accommodation for students had a very high expense, and it was about 24%. The food, bills, and household goods were also high in expense reaching 20%, the essential travel costs were not as high and it was nearly 7% in expenses, non-essential trael being 8%, children only 2%, moreover course expenditure was 10%, whereas entertainment was 26% having the highest expense out of all student expenses, and other expenses reached close to 12%. On the other hand, in the year 1999, the expenses for accomodation was slightly less than the year 1996, going down to 20%, food, bills, and household goods also went down to 17% nearly, essential travel increasing and exceeds 10%, non-essential travel reducing in comparision to 1996 going down to 5%, furthermore, children had no expenses in 1999, course expenditure went down to 15%, whereas entertainment was the highest expense for students and reached 31%, and lastly other expenses were 16%, having a higher percentage than the year 1996.

In conclusion, the highest student expense was entertainment, and accomodation being the second. In the span of three years, entertainment expenses increased and accomodation slightly decreased.
