The given table shows data about the minutes each every day in which individuals- men and women spent on housework in the UK.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the table compares men and women based on six different categories. The statistics shows that men spent their most time on gardening compared to women in cooking. Also, it is noticeable that the clothes and maintenance jobs takes the lowest proportion for men and women repectivly.
The first three categories of the table, cooking, cleaning and gardening, shows that women spent 44, and 45 minutes preparing food and do maintenance each day more than men, in that order. On the other hand, surpasses women by almost half an hour planting and spending their time in the garden.
On the other three presented categories females spent almost quarter of an hour with their children to play compared to men whom spent only 20 minutes. Moreover, the table illustrates that the minutes men spent on maintenance are higher by almost 16 minutes. Looking at the table, it is obvious that women spent 24 minutes on clothing compared to men who spent only 2 minutes to do work related to their clothes.
