The bar graph provides a comparison about the tourism proportions for more than one museum by group of ages in a country in 2006, 2011, and 2016. Overall, journey for museums was more popular in 2006 than other years, being more active the 35 to 44 ages than other generations, while the 65 above age group was not interested in visiting to the museums as much as other groups of ages.
Regarding young generations, the percentage of visiting to museums in the 15 to 24 age group was nearly same in three years, with nearly 25%, whereas that of 25-34 age group was more active than their younger counterparts, which was about 27% initially, increased to around 38% in the subsequent year, surpassing the 35-44 age group in 2016. The highest growth was observed visiting proportion in the 35-44 age group from a fifth to under two-fifths between 2006 to 2016.
Turning to elder generations, there was a rapid rise in visiting participation in 45-54 age group from 20% to 30% between 2006 and 2016 while the 55 to 64 group witnessed a significant downward in participation in museums from 40% to under 30% between 2006 and 2016, with being only one age group who saw a decline in visiting. Interestingly, the 65 above age group was a fluctuation in participation proportions over the period.
