The graph illustrates the findings from surveys carried out in an African country in which youngsters were asking on their main purposes for manipulating their phones from 2016 to 2019. In overall, they used it mostly for social networks features because it represents a large amount in all charts.
In 2016, the main reasons for teenagers in one African area was 50%. 25 % of it was for email purposes and remaining was for digital camera and phone calls. The next year the portions decreased for social networks 48% and emails 24%. However phone calls rised up to 13%. The difference between these two years is that youngsters priority was still social medias and emails but had reduced their time spending on it for phone calls.
The two previous years 2018 and 2019 had an increased on social networks.In comparison email declined from 20% to 19% and phone calls too from 18% to 20%. Digital camera rised up and reached it’s peak with 20% in 2019. Their main reasons for using their phone in 2018 was social networks and emails while in 2019 it was for social medias and digital camera.
In conclusion, youngsters main explanation for using their phone in all four years is social networks because it represents a consistent amount in all charts.
