In New Zealand, the proportion of people who used local websites are lower, about 50%. However, more people buy from overseas websites compared to Australia, which is 36%, while 14% use both types of websites.
According to the table, the most common reason for online shopping in both countries were lower price, with 59% in Australia and 51% in New Zealand. Convenience was the second reason in Australia at 23%, but in New Zealand it was only 13%. On the other hand, larger range of choice was more important in New Zealand (34%) than in Australia (16%). Only 2% of people in both countries chooses other reasons.
