Overall, dinner accounted for the highest proportion of both sodium and saturated fat, whereas snacks contained the largest percentage of added sugar. In contrast, breakfast consistently recorded the lowest figures for all three nutrients.
Regarding sodium, dinner made up the largest share at around 43%, followed by lunch at nearly 29%. Snacks and breakfast accounted for 14% each. A similar pattern can be seen for saturated fat, with dinner representing roughly 37%, while lunch contributed about 26%. Sancks and breakfast stood at 21% and 16%, respectively.
As for added sugar, snacks were by far the largest contributor, accounting for 42% of the total. Dinner represented nearly 23%, while lunch and breakfast made up 19% and 16%, repectively.
