From a broader perspective, it is clear that dinner represents the most sodium and saturated fat, while snacks accounted for the greatest proportion of added sugar. Among all types of nutrients, breakfast is the least.
According to the graph, which reveals that sodium and saturated fat accounted for 43% and 37%, respectively, in dinner, while in lunch, both nutrients made up slightly under a quarter of lunch, whereas 14% and a fifth were taken up in snacks. Furthermore, the amount is consumed in breakfast (14% and 16% respectively)
In terms of the remaining, added sugar is consumed just under a half of 42% in snacks, as opposed to the figure comprising a minority 16% in breakfast. Moreover, followed by dinner at 27%, the percentage of lunch was reported at less than a fifth.
