The pie charts depict the percentage of the contribution in energy production of each fields, including gas, coal, petro, nuclear, and other in 1995 and 2000 in Dutch.
Overall, while petro experienced a downward trend, other categories witnessed an upward trend. For most of the time, fossil fuels took up a very large majority of the group, with coal and gas being the main contributors.
In 1995, 29.8% of the produced energy came from using coal, which was the highest percentage among all categories. Followed that, the propotion of energy created by gas and petro were initially 29.63% and 29.27%, respectively. 5 years later, the contribution of coals and gas increased slightly, with coal had 30.93% and gas had 30.31%. Moreover, petro had a dramatic decrease, dropping from 29.27% to 19.55%, becoming the least percentage of the fossil fuel group.
On the other hand, 6.4% of the total energy was produced by nuclear power, then the proportion rose to 10.1% in the end of 2000. Besides, other methods only contributed 4.9% in 1995, which was the lowest among all categories, and the percentage inclined to nearly a tenth of the group.
