The bar charts compare the distribution of working hours per week in the industry in France, Denmark, Sweden and the UK in the year 2002.
It is noticeable that people aged between 36-40 allocated for the highest hours during a week, with an exception of France. Additionally, there was a far distance between the first-ranking and the other age groups in almost four countries.
In France, 31-35-year-old employees were the most popular category to work, which accounted for 50 hours per week. This figure was followed by people between 36-40 years old and 46-50 age group, with 37 hours and 20 hours respectively. The other remaining sectors were far more low, with the figure just under 15 hours.
While France witnessed a relatively short distance between working hours among people aged from 31 to 35 and the next group, contrasting patterns were observed in the other three countries. All 36-40 age people in Denmark, Sweden and the UK dominantly had the largest number of hours for work, with 70 hours, 80 hours and 50 hours. While people in the ages of 31-35 years old ranked second in Denmark and Sweden, there was a significant increase in the 50+ people in the UK, with 20 hours per week.
