The bar chart shows the amount of Japanese tourists travelled abroad. Meanwhile, the line graph show Australia’s share of the Japanese tourist market between 1985 and 1995. Overall, the number of both Japanese who travelled overseas and the ones that travelled to Australia increased.
In the bar graph, the data shows that the numbers of Japanese traveller that went overseas have been going up since 1985 from about 5 million to 11 million travellers in 1990 before decreasing slightly in 1991. Furthermore, the numbers soared up again from almost 12 million to over 14 million travellers in 1995.
In the line graph, the lines show that only 2% Japanese tourists travelled to Australia in 1985 and it steadily accelerate to almost 5% in 1988. In the following year, the percentage plummeted to approximately 4% but the lines reached its highest peak to more than 6% in 1993, which later stayed exactly 6% in 1994.
