The above graph predicts the information about the number of effected people in Europe by four different types of noise pollutions such as traffic, train, aircraft and industries by day and night in both cities and rural areas in 2007.
To give an overview, it is clearly observed that most of the people suffer from noise of traffic in both urban and rural areas whereas, industries do not make any effect on rural areas.
To begin with, in city area 64 million people get effected at day and and 48 million at night where as, in rural areas 34 million face problem during day and 24 million at night only because of traffic noise. Moreover, trains also cause problems for city people about 10 million during day and 8 million at night as well as at rural areas about 8 million at day and 6 million at night.
Furthermore, noise pollution by aircraft also induce impact on 4 million people at day and 1 million at night as compared to rural people about 2 million and 1 million during day and night respectively. However, very less pollution created by industries effect very less on urban people about 1 million and 0.25 million during day and night but no impact of industrial noise on rural areas.
