In general, it is evident that people in cities dealt with four groups of noise contamination. Meanwhile, those who lived in rural disrupted by 3 sectors. Remarkably, traffic was the most affected on human life in both cities and rural.
In 2007, the number of residents affected by traffic was 64 million city residents during the day and 48 million at night. The number being impacted by traffic noise in rural areas were haft at high, at 34 million in the day and 25 million at night. Furthermore, the quantity of people affected by train in both areas had a slight reduction about 2 million from day to night.
Turning to aircraft and industry, the noise from airplane had negative issue for 4 million people in cities and 2 million inhabitants in the countryside in the day. However, these number decreased considerably at night, both to 1 million. Finally, industrial noise impacted more than 1 million city dwellers in the day, while not affecting anyone in the rural locations.
