The shown pie charts compare information about people’s occupations who are between age 23 and 65, in Ashby and in the whole UK.
It is clear that the people who worked in a personal service and office work represented the majority of the charts in both regions. While the proportion of professional workers was the least among occupations in Ashby, UK’s least preferred jobs were people who were employed and worked on construction work.
In 2008 people from Ashby region mainly worked on personal service sector which was 21 percent. Next, 18 percent of people choose to work on Office work. The percentages for construction work and shop work were 16 percent and 14 percent respectively.
In the UK 19 percent of population worked on office work in 2008. The ratio for personal service and technical work was exactly same which was 17 percent. In addition, the unemployment rate was 10 percent at that time for the UK.
