The six pie charts depict the average amount of water used for various reasons across the globe. In hindsight, it describes the importance of water in industrial areas, household purposes, and agricultural prospects.
As per the pie chart, Europe and North America seem to have a higher percentage, i.e., 53 and 48 percent respectively, of their water needed for industrial areas. This amount is significantly high in comparison to the rest of the four areas combined.
On the other hand, water is used in very high volumes for agriculture in South America, Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, raising the consumption rate above 70 percent in all these areas. Central Asia uses almost nine-tenths of its water in agriculture.
But, the use of water in the case of domestic use is spread across all areas evenly. There is not much of a difference in domestic water consumption as compared to industrial and agricultural use, with Europe being the highest at 19 percent and both Asian regions being the lowest at 7 percent each.
Overall, water is predominantly used for agriculture across the different areas of the world, whereas highly developed areas like North America and Europe have proportioned the use of water very well in industrial areas too.
