Overall, the proporation of industry workers was the highest in all given countries in both years, whereas wokers in agriculture sector made up the largest share in China for both years. Additionally, the percentages of workers whose working in industy increased among all nations; however, the services’ workers percentages declined throughout the period.
In 1980, wokers from industry sector represented the largest proportion in Germany, with 60%, followed by the USA and Japan, with approximately 50%. However, the workers in agriculture sector made up the larghest share in China, with nearly 70%, while each three other countries shared only 10% and less. Moreover, workers of services section had the second- highest numbers in all nations, ranging from 50% to 39%.
In 2010, the numbers of industry workers rose remarkabely, with Germany at the top at above 80%, and Japan and the USA with 80% and 70%, respectively. Furthermore, although in China the percentages of industry workers remained unchanged, the amount of workers working in agriculture and services dropped to 50% and about 21%, respectively.
