Traveling to Work

The two charts given above show the reasons behind why some people prefer cycling over driving and vice versa. However, both options have their own advantages and disadvantages.

The two biggest reasons why people choose cycling over driving are health and the fact that bikes are a greener option compared to cars. Other reasons are related to more particular problems mostly caused by heavy traffic and fuel costs.

From the second chart, we can come to the conclusion that most people prefer the comfort of their personal vehicles over other factors. Distance to work and the need to carry things to work are two other impacts on people’s choices. And a small group of people prefer cars over other ways of transport because of safety concerns.

In conclusion, most people are not willing to sacrifice their comfort and privacy for health; therefore, they prefer cars. At the same time, people who prefer bikes are not willing to spend that much money to buy and use a car.
