The two pie charts illustrate the proportions of five different factors contributing to happiness among two age groups: people under 30 and people over 30.
Overall, in both groups, achievement at work was the most significant factor in bringing happiness. However, younger people placed more emphasis on appearance and travelling, whereas older individuals valued financial security and family time more.
For people under 30, achievement at work was the most influential factor, accounting for 31%. This was followed by doing hobbies at 22%, and having a good appearance at 18%. Travelling contributed 15%, while other factors made up the remaining 14%.
In contrast, the data for people over 30 showed a slightly different pattern. Achievement at work remained the top contributor at 32%. Doing hobbies was also significant at 24%, whereas financial security and being with family accounted for 20% and 14%, respectively. Other factors made up only 10% of the responses.
