Overall, almost half of the watches in the Swiss Watch Market were the Rolex brand in both years. In addition, the proportions acquired by the rest of the brands reduced in 2021 compared to 2020.
The brands Rolex, Omega, and Cartier were the ones that constituted the highest percentages during the both years 2020 and 2021. The Rolex, that account for the largest proportion among the three brands was increased significantly in 2021 to 46.7% from 39.5% in 2020. In contrast, a drop in the share of Omega, and Cartier was reported in 2021, when compared to the year 2020. The Omega’s share was declined by 2.9% in 2021 whilst a minute drop from 14.59% to 13. 8% was resulted for the brand, Cartier in 2021.
With regard to the brands that constitute minor proportions of shares, Patek, Longines, and AP constituted approximately a total of 30% in 2020, whereas it further fallen to about 27% in 2021. Notably, AP was the brand that had the lowest proportion of shares in the Swiss Watch Market in 2020 with the percentage of 10%, but in 2021 Patek became the least abundant brand of Swiss Watches with its percentage share value of 8.8%.
