The pie chart illustrates the proportions of wristwatch sales among six watch companies in Switzerland for the years 2020 and 2021.
Overall, it is evident that Rolex remains the dominant player by a wide margin in both years. While Rolex continued to strengthen its position, other companies experienced slight declines in market share.
The three largest manufacturers in 2020 were Rolex, Omega, and Cartier, holding 15.6%, 14.5%, and 10.3% of the market respectively. In 2021, Rolex increased its share to nearly half of the total market, while Omega saw a notable decrease of 2.9%. This change allowed Cartier to take the second position with a market share of 13.8%, despite experiencing a loss of 0.7%.
The remaining three companies each had around 10% of the market shares, but all faced a decline of approximately 1% in 2021. Among these companies, Patek experienced the most significant drop, while AP improved its position, rising to the fourth highest rank with a 9.1% market share in 2021.
