The line graph illustrates the global water consumption differences in three sectors for a century. In contrast, the table graph compares water usage in Brazil and the Democratic Republic Of Congo in 2000.
Overall, all the consumption rises along but agriculture is the highest. And Brazil is a much bigger consumer than Congo.
Looking at the line chart more closely, the agriculture sector needed 500 km3 in 1900 and it increased dramatically to 3000 km3 in 2000. On the other hand, less than 100 km3 of water was used in the other two irrigations. However, in 2000, the amount of water consumed in the Industrial and Domestic sectors went up to more than 1000 and 500 respectively.
Furthermore, Brazil has a population of 176 million which is 35 times of Congo’s population. The square of the population land of Brazil is 26500 km3 and 100 km3 in Congo. Last but not least, the bigger population and land area caused Brazil to consume more water 359m3 and Congo only used up 8 m3 of water.
