There are different opinions among people about giving homework to children. While some opinions are strongly against the problem, I contend that homework plays an important role in education.
There is no doubt that teachers should not give homework to their students. Firstly, homework is not a factor that changes the result of children’s learning. For example, in Ha Lan, children do not do their assignments; instead, they are graded based on individual achievements and evaluation criteria for the teacher to decide. Secondly, some people think that children spend most of their time studying at school, not to mention they also have to go to extra classes, so they feel tired and do not have enough energy to do extra homework. This goes to show that students do not do their homework outside of school hours.
On the other hand, I side with those who believe that homework plays an important role in the education of children. The main purpose of homework is to encourage students to improve their self-learning and problem-solving through different tasks that their teachers assign. For example, when they do math exercises, it will help them recall knowledge of concepts and calculations that the teacher taught in class. I think if they maintain this habit every day, it will help them remember the lesson better and longer and be able to achieve the best results in all exams.
In conclusion, while there are justifications to advocate that students should not be given homework by teachers, I contend that the significance of homework in their education.
