The pie charts compare the proportion of employee working in three sectors, namely, manufacturing, sales and services in town A and B between 1960 and 2010.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the rate of people working in manufacturing in town B and the opposite was true for the remaining figures. Meanwhile, in town B, the percentage of individuals who had a job in sales dominated the whole time period, despite a decrease in 2010.
To begin with, in town A, the ratio of worker in Manufacturing was 29% in 1960, which experienced a significant increase to 64% in 2010, from the smallest rate to the biggest rates of that of three sectors. In contrast, the proportion for people who worked in sale started at 41% in 1960, followed by a drop to 20% after 50 years and that of services registered a decline from 30% to 16% during the same time period.
In town B, there was 70% of people working in Service at the beginning of the period, which saw a decline to 53% in 2010, but it still was the highest ratio in the town. On the other hand, the figure for manufacturing was at 10%, after which nearly doubled to 20% while that of service rose from 20% to 22% over the fifty-years span.
