Overall it is clear that Social security accounted for the largest sector of expenditure, followed closely by Health and personal social services. In sharp contrast, Industry agriculture and employment accounted for the lowest spending.
Looking at the details, Social security stood out as the dominant sector, Social security exactly at 100 billion AED. The second highest expenditures was on health and social services, standing at 53 billion AED. Meanwhile, a substantial proportion was also toward debt interest and other expenditures, accounting for 23 billion AED. And also the UAE government spent money in education sector at 38 billion AED.
In terms of the remaining categories, spending on the Defense and law sectors were noticeably lower, accounting for 22 and 17 billion AED. Meanwhile, spending on housing and heritage environment are approximately 15 billion AED, and slightly less than industry and agriculture employment at 13 billion AED. Finally, the least significant share of spending belonged to Transport sector, standing at 9 billion AED.
