The provided three tables depict the modernization of West Park Secondary School in three different years of 1950, 1980 and 2010.
From a broader perspective, it is clear that the area has four different constructions of houses, farmland, school, and playground, and is surrounded by the main road to the north in 1950. During a six-decade period, the place was completely transformed; however, the school building and main road remained untouched.
As the maps show, in 1950,houses and school buildings were located to the south of the main road. Subsequently, there was farmland behind houses and a playground after school. In 1980, the houses had been demolished and replaced with a car park and science block, adjacent to the school, and farmland was removed and a renovated sports field.
In the last 30-year period, the car park was extended to the south by removing the sports area. Meanwhile, the sports field was relocated to the east south, it had been constructed as the third part of the playground area. Furthermore, the school building and the science block remained undeveloped.
