The diagram illustrates the differences in West Park Secondary School’s constructions in 1950, 1980 and 2010.
Overall, through a 60 year period, the West Park Secondary School had changed in buildings and expansion. However, the location of the main building of the school was constant.
From 1950 to 1980, there were changes in buildings as the school expanded its area. First, the houses area had become the car park and science block. Second, the sports field had replaced the farmland. Hence, the old school area is now the main building of the school. The playground was unchanged.
Looking at the school diagram in 2010, the school seemed to change the location of the remaining buildings as well as expand some areas. First, the playground and sports field had been merged into the previous playground area. Then, while the science block was unchanged, the car park had been expanded so that it could cover the ex sports field area. The main building was constant.
