The pictures illustrate how some areas changed at West Park Secondary School between 1950 and 2010. The most noticeable change was just south of the school, such as houses, a playground, a sports field, and a car park.
First above, in 1950 there were some point areas in Secondary Schools consisting of houses to the right of the school, then the playground was behind the school, whereas to the left was farmland. Later on, the houses next to the school (main building) that were removed became a car park and a science block in 1980. As can be seen, farmland was changed to a sports field in the same year.
The third pictures show a slight change to the left of the secondary school (main building), it was a sports land that was removed from a car park, so it became bigger than before. Meanwhile, the sports field joined around ⅓ of the area’s playground.
