The diagram illustrates how cold water is used by Geothermal power plant to produce electricity.
Overall, the process consists of 5 stages, beginning with cold water and ending up with stream passing into generator turbine.
First of allcold water is pumped down into the ground which travels about 4.5km before passing through a injection well where geothermal zone is present. After going through hot rocks it passed to it’s next stage which is the production well, where the hot water is pumped back to the surface covering nearly about same distance as 4.5km to travel back to surface of ground .
In the next stage, the hot water is converted into stream through a condenser and is produced before a turbine where turbine is powered by steam which helps in the rotation of turbine and a generator is used which is powered by turbine that results in production electricity which is passed to the electric towers.
