The given diagrams illustrate changes that have taken place at West Park Secondary School since its construction in the year 1950. Over the years, the main building of the school has been standing tall in its original location, right across the main road. A lot of other changes have been made otherwise.
In the year 1950, the school had a residential area just besides it and a connected playground. There was a farmland area right across the houses and to the left of the playground.
After 30 years, the school main building had an extended building named the science block. This was built in place of the housing area, along with a car parking space. The farmland was converted to a sports field, whereas the ground was unchanged.
In 2010, the car park area was significantly expanded, thus leading to a smaller sports field and reduced playground area.
Overall, many changes have occurred in the area across the main road, over a span of 60 years.
