The diagrams below depict the shifts which have been made at West Park Secondary School over a 40 years period from 1950 to 2010.
Overall, while the underground remained unchanged over period, the houses and farmland were removed to make room for facilities
In 1950, it is observed that houses and farmland were constructed to the left of school, while playground was built to the front of the school. In compared to 1950, in 1980s there was an introduction of car park to replace for part of residential area. Also, the expansion of school building such as science block occupied the rest room of houses. Last but not least, farmland was replaced by the sports field providing students such a facility.
In 2010, there is a change which was taken to the West Park school since its construction in 2980. Most notably, more than half of sports field square was cut down to make room for the enlargement of the car park. Apart from that, no changes were witnessed in school construction and the playground.
