The picture describes the various steps that are involved in the production of sugar.
It is evident that this is a time-consuming process and requires both manpower and machinery to complete the extraction. There are seven key stages, beginning with the cultivation of sugarcane on farms and culminating in the production of refined sugar.
Sugarcane is grown for 12 to 18 months before being harvested, either manually or with the help of large harvesters.
Once harvested, the cane is crushed to extract its juice, a step that also requires specialized equipment. This juice is then purified using limestone filters. The juice is then heated in massive evaporators in order to produce syrup.
Then, an equipment called the centrifuge is used which separates sugar crystals from syrup. These sugar crystals are then dried and cooled to form refined sugar, which is finally ready for sale.
