The process shows how to make sugar from sugar cane.

In general, there are 7 steps, beginning with growing sugar cane and end with drying and cooling.

At the first step, sugar cane is planted and nourished for 12 to 18 months, and stalks are harvested. The harvesting process is performed by either cutting by sickle or using a specialized machine called a reaper. After that, they press sugar cane juice out of shredded stalks by a crusher which has huge rollers.

Following, juices are refined through a limestone filter. The next step is evaporation, which burns juice under heat to thicken until it becomes syrup. Then, they separate sugar crystals from syrup by a centrifuge. Finally, the sugar is dried and cooled, and packed.
