The below diagram illustrates the manufacturing steps of making sugar from sugarcane.
The foremost step is growing sugarcane which takes around 12-18 months to grow. After it has fully grown, the second step is to harvest them, it is done using farming vehicles and also manually by farmers. Third step is crushing of sugarcane, putting them into a machine which in return gives juice of the sugarcanes.
Later in the fourth step the sugarcane juice is being purified using a limestone filter. The next step would be to evaporate the juice, which turns into a syrup after being evaporated in heat. After that a centrifuge machine is used which seperates the sugar crystals from the syrup which was evaporated before. In the final step, the sugar crystals are left over for drying and cooling process and. The sugar is finally ready for selling and for using in various purposes.
In conclusion the the sugar making process takes around seven steps to finally be ready from sugarcane.
