The given diagram illustrates the process involved inn produc-ing sugar from sugarcane.
The process usually starts with growing the sugarcanes for almost a year and half. The fully grown sugarcanes are now harvested either manually, which involves human to cut down sugarcanes or by using machines, which collects the sugar cane, chops into fixed size and load it in a truck.
After the sugarcanes are taken from the fields, it is placed in a rotating crusher which produces a fine juice out of the chopped sugarcane pieces, which later is purified using the limestone filter. Purified juice are then heated in an evaporator from the bottom leaving the upper part open to exert gas. Next, the sugar crystals are seperated from the surup applying some centrifugal force by rolling the jars. Lastly, the sugar are now dried and cooled in a favourable environment before they are ready for distribution.
Overall, the manufacturing process involved in producing sugar from sugarcane can be carried out in three major steps: growing, harvesting and producing, among which, growing turned out to be the most time consuming process. However, it goes without saying that the process involved after harvesting seems more tedious and needs expertise.
