This diagram explains the way which sugar is produced by sugar cane.Overall , this manufacturing process got multiple stages of farming ,crushing , separating and drying .

The first step is to grow the sugar cane and this stage takes 12 – 18 months . Once the sugar cane is fully grown , it is harvested manually or mechanically.

The harvested sugar canes are crushed to extract the juice ,which is later purified by a limestone filter . Next , the filters juice is heated in an evaporator to evaporate water . In this stage the juice is concentrated to a sugar syrup . Later , the concentrated syrup is centrifuged by a machine to separate the sugar crystals from the sugar syrup . Finally, the sugar crystals are dried , cooled and ready to be used .
