The diagram illustrates, step by step, how the brick manufacturing process works and its different stages, from the digging to the delivery.
First of all, clay is obtained thank to the use of a digger, so this material pass through a metal grid. Subsequently sand and water are added, in order to produce the mixture needed for bricks, which can be made in two different ways: with the use of a wire cutter or with a mould.
After that, raw bricks are stored in a drying oven for 24-48 hours, in order to be ready for the firing process: it starts in a klin where bricks are fired to a moderate temperature from 200°C to 980°C, and continues in the next one where they are exposed to an higher one, from 870°C to 1300°C. This phase ends with a cooling chamber, that contains fired bircks for 48-72 hours. Finally, when they are ready, bricks have to be packaged and delivered.
