The given diagram shows how plastic is recycled.
Overall, the process of plastic recycling involves six main stages. It starts with buying, using, and throwing away new plastic products and ends with the new recycled products being sold in shops again.
First, people buy new plastic items from stores. After using them, they throw them away. Some plastic, like bags, goes to landfills, while plastic bottles and containers are collected for recycling.
The collected plastic bottles are taken to sorting centers where they are separated into different types. After sorting, the plastic is put on trucks and sent to factories. At these factories, the plastic is processed and turned into new products.
These new recycled plastic items are then sent back to stores, where they are sold again. The cycle continues as these products are used and eventually discarded once more.
