The diagram illustrates the way in which plastics are recycled.
From an overall perspective, it is clear from the diagram that there are six major stages in the process of recycling plastics, beginning with the purchase of products from retailers and ending with the distribution of reprocessed items back to stores.
In the initial step, new plastic products are purchased by customers from stores. After being used, these items become waste, such as plastic bags and rubbish which are sent to landfills. Meanwhile, another type of plastic waste like bottles is collected separately for recycling. Once those bottles have been gathered, they are delivered to a sorting house in order to be classified.
In the subsequent phase, the sorted plastic trash is loaded onto containers and transported to a recycling plant, where it undergoes reprocessing. This stage converts the waste into brand-new products, which can significantly reduce plastic pollution. Finally, the recycled products are distributed among shops, forming a continuous, circular process.
