The scheme illustrates frog life fases. First step is an egg. They are placed in calm watter, for instence, in lakes or ponds, near the surface. The eggs exist in the jelly-like coating for protection against other creatures. The approximate duration of this stage constitutes from 6 to 21 days.
The next fase is when the eggs transformes into tadpoles. The tadpoles eta algae and minuscule plants and move like a fish. It lasted from 6 to 9 weeks. But the end of this time, they transform again, but this time, into froglets.
Froglets eat same food as the tadpoles, but they have lungs and are able to jump. Froglets reminds adult frogs, but they have tall tails and can’t eat insects.
After 12 weeks being froglets, the creatures become adult frogs, which are able to live in mixed environment, for example in the lake or in the grass or forested area nearby. Their food is insects and small animals, and their life duration is around 3 years.
