The flowchart illustrates the way in which steel rods are produced for the furniture industry.
Overall, there are eleven stages in the entire steel rod manufacturing process, beginning with the melting of raw materials and ending with the final inspection of the finished rods.
To begin, iron ore and yellow ore, along with carbon, are sent to a melting process, where the temperature ranges between 1300 and 1500 degrees Celsius in the melting slot, before refinement. The substance later undergoes a process in a smelting cabin to refine the substance before sending it to the pouring stage, in which the glowing metal is poured into an ingot mold. Following this, in order to cool the ingots, they are connected to a reservoir at 60-100 degrees Celsius, after which strands are cast. Next, these strands are ready for the rolling process using special rollers.
Subsequently, the rolled metal strands go through a heating phase, before a surface check is conducted with automated measuring. Finally, after ensuring the surface quality, in order to size the metal strands, they are cut and later sent for ID stamping, before the final inspection phase.
