The diagram shows the process of creating wooden shoes, known as clogs. There are six main stages, which consist of cutting poplar or willow wood with a saw, followed by painting and decorating the clogs.
To begin with, you need to cut a piece of wood for your future shoes. Secondly, you have to outline the chopped piece into the desired shape with an axe. After that, you need to trim the unnecessary parts with a professional knife. Next, the shoe interior must be hollowed out using a spoon drill. These stages give you the basic shape of the shoes, which will later require the attachment of the sole.
Once the rough version of the clogs is completed, take sandpaper and thoroughly polish both the outside and inside of your shoes. Finally, use paints to colour your shoes, and add decorative accessories to make the clogs more attractive. The clogs are then ready to be worn at themed festivals and celebrations.
