The provided diagram illustrates the natural process of water circulation, depiciting how water moves cotinously between the ocean, atmosphere, and land.
Overall, the water cycle is a continous mutli-stage process driven primarily by solar energy. It involves three major stages, evaporationand clod formation, precipation over land, and the return of water back into the ocean via surface runoff and groundwater.
Following cloud formation, precipitation occurs in the form of rain or snow, mostly falling over elevated land areas and mounations. the precipation then takes different pathways to return to the sea. A portion flows over the ground surface as surface runoff, flowing into lakes and rivers that lead back to the ocean. Another portion seepls deeps into the soil to form groundwater beneath an impervious rock layers. Eventually, both surface and underground water strams, along with saltwater instrusion, empty back into the ocean, completing the circualar process.
