The diagram explains the way in which water is treated.
Overall, the process consists of 10 stages, starting with the intake screens and ending up with the faucet. It also includes some steps such as pumps, flocculations, settling basin, filter membrane and other.
First of all, water comes from the special tank through the intake screens to remove rubbish and fish from entering the treatment. Then, water gets through the pumps and enter the flash mix zone. Here, polyaluminum chloride and oxidants are added into the water. After that, water goes to flocculations step and then to the settling basin. Here some heavy parts settle at the bottom, chlorine then is added to the water. After this stage, water goes down by the tube and enters the filter membrane box, where small particles are removed. Later it proceeds to the disinfection tank. Some materials, like chlorine, fluoride, lime or sodium hydroxide are added. Penultimate stage is a pump, after it the water is delivered to a faucet.
