The diagram illustrates the process of the water treatment, which transforms natural dirty water into clean safe drinking water. The process consists of 10 stages, starts from water intake by intake screens and ends with home delivery by faucet.
At the beginning, water passes intake screens to remove large pieces of garbage, and then it transports by plumbs. Next step is a flash mix where chemicals as ” polyaluminium chloride and oxidants” are added. That mix then enters to flocculation stage. Than water with other elements passes setting basin, where sediments settle the bottom. This is only half of the water’s way.
Next- chlorine adds to water to kill bacteria as at the pool or aquapark. It then enters to filter membrane to remove extra elements and to leave just water. At disinfection stage water becomes safe to drink, without hazardous chemical materials. Finaly, after pumping water reaches faucets ready to use.
Therefore, we can make a conclusion: water from natural sources, passes several processes to become suitable for domestic use.
