The diagram illustrates how rainwater is being collected and reused for drinking purposes in an Australian town.
The whole process goes through 4 stages: collecting rainwater, filtering it, storing the filtered water, treating the water with chemicals and the last use it for drinking in houses.
Initially, when the rain starts falling on the roof it slides down to drains to gather the rainwater then secondly, the filtering stage which at this stage the water moves to a water filter to make sure it is clear without any dust or impurities after it has been filtered, it gets stored in big storage before it goes to the second stage which is water treatment, at this stage the water gets treated by chemicals to clear water and remove any health threaten and make it valid for drinking and finally start pumping water to houses to use it as drinking water without any problem
