The diagram illustrates stages involved in collecting rainwater for using it as drinking water in an Australian town.

Overall, the process starts with collecting rainwater by drains and then it is stored on a storage tank passing through the water filter. After that, chemicals are used to treat water in water treatment chamber and subsequently used as drinking water.

The pocess commences with collecting water from rain. Next, it goes through the water filter by drains and stores in a storage tank. Pipes are used to transport water from the filter to reservour.

From the storage tank, water then pumped to water treatment plant through the pipe. In this stage, the crucial part is done and that is the use of chemicals to make the water ready for drinking. After this process, fress drinking water is produced and the process culminates in supplying that water to house for the purpose of drinking.

Task Response

The report effectively describes the main stages of the rainwater collection process, and the overall structure is clear with an introduction and an overview. However, there are some inaccuracies in the sequence of steps (e.g., the filter and storage order) and minor omissions (e.g., the drain leading to the treatment facility before the filter). Additionally, some vocabulary and spelling errors ('pocess', 'reservour', 'fress') detract from clarity. To improve, ensure the logical flow of the process is accurately represented and proofread for spelling and word choice.

Coherence & Cohesion

The report has a logical structure and attempts to describe the process in stages. However, the flow is disrupted by some unclear sequencing and repetition. For example, the description of the water filter and storage appears in both the overview and the first body paragraph, causing redundancy. The use of cohesive devices is basic, and some transitions are abrupt. To improve, ensure each paragraph covers a distinct stage of the process without overlap, and use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'subsequently', 'following this', 'once') to guide the reader smoothly.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is adequate but limited and repetitive. Words like 'collecting', 'water', and 'storage' are used multiple times without variation. There are also spelling errors (e.g., 'pocess', 'reservour', 'fress') and some awkward phrasing (e.g., 'for using it as drinking water'). To improve, use synonyms (e.g., 'gather', 'harvest', 'reservoir', 'purify') and ensure correct spelling. Aim for more precise and natural expressions, such as 'the process begins with' instead of 'the pocess commences with'.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The report contains several grammatical errors and punctuation issues that affect clarity. Examples include missing articles ('the water filter', 'a storage tank'), incorrect verb forms ('water then pumped' should be 'water is then pumped'), and subject-verb agreement problems. Sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited use of complex forms. To improve, practice using a mix of simple and complex sentences, ensure correct tense usage (present simple passive is appropriate here), and proofread for errors like 'pocess' and 'fress'.
