The diagrams below illustrate how the town of Lakeside changed from 2000 to 2009. Overall, the town underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the development of industrial, recreational needs by reducing greenspace and residential area.
To the north-west of the map, residential areas remained while derelict warehouse was removed for a new car park. The old town to the south of the parking lot was also demolished to make way for offices, accompanied by university and schools for further educational purposes. An advanced cinema with multi-screen was built from an old art center located in the west of the town. To the south of the cinema, a residential area was removed to make way for a shopping center.
The natural range in the north-east of the town likewise saw a number of changes, with a wide lake being drained into a small pond and a considerable number of trees being cut down across the southern of the river.
