Overall, plastic waste serves two main purposes, as it is collected at a point for recycling or disposed of in a landfill. The recycling process involves 5 stages, starting with the use of plastic products, and then in the production of new items returned to shops for sale.
Firstly, after consumers purchase plastic items, the waste is separated into two categories. Some products, such as plastic bags or other forms of waste, are thrown away and transported to the landfill. Meanwhile , used plastic items are gathered at collecting points and then transferred to sorting facilities, where they are classified according to type before entering the factory.
In the next step, the sorted plastic is arranged into trucks and transported to a processing factory. After undergoing various steps and is converted into reusable material. Subsequently, this material is manufactured into new goods, which are directly delivered to shops for resale.
