The diagram demonstrates the overall process of designing a modern landfill for household waste.

Overall, process consist of four stages and each plays a vital role in the construction, starting with man-made hole, while it ends up arranging the pipes and setting up the clay.

The process begins with, digging the hole to create a space for further process, along with that, the hole is dug until the level of natural rock and water reaches. At second stage, drainage tank and pipe are installed, with that the synthetic substance and clay plays a major role in building upper corners of the hole.

Following at thirt stage, the household waste is thrown in the hole, liquid waste collects at the bottom and is removed through the drainage system. Lastly, the pipes are installed to release gases produced from inside. Furthermore, clay is arranged on top of the hole to cover landfill entirely.
